China to take over BRICS chairmanship again
China will assume the BRICS chairmanship next year and host the 19th BRICS Summit.
TodayPress TV reports, citing China’s Xinhua News Agency, that Chinese President Xi Jinping made the announcement today at the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi, India.
“In 2027, China will once again assume the rotating BRICS chairmanship. All parties look forward to China bringing together the collective wisdom and strong synergy of BRICS countries to write a new chapter of cooperation together,” China Central Television (CCTV) quoted Xi Jinping as saying.
