A Spanish officer responsible within NATO for tracking Russian submarines and warships has raised security concerns within the alliance over his relationship with a Russian woman he met via Tinder.
TodayPress TV reports that the officer was removed from his post and sent back to Spain after suspicions arose that the Russian woman could have been spying on behalf of Russia.
NATO and Spain have launched a security investigation into the incident. The investigation is examining whether the officer’s relationship posed any risk in terms of his access to NATO classified information and the alliance’s ability to monitor Russian military activity.
