CSTO to cooperate with Uzbekistan
The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is considering opportunities for cooperation with Uzbekistan.
TodayPress TV reports that CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadikov made the statement.
According to him, the organization sees prospects for expanding political dialogue with non-member states, particularly Uzbekistan.
Masadikov noted that Uzbekistan could potentially obtain partner or observer status in the CSTO in the future.
It should be noted that Uzbekistan suspended its membership in the CSTO in 2012. Nevertheless, bilateral ties between the country and the organization have continued.
