Is Beckham preparing to build a football empire in France?

The name of former “Manchester United” player and “Inter Miami” co-owner David Beckham has unexpectedly emerged in talks over the potential takeover of French club “Nantes”, TodayPress TV reports, citing “Ouest-France”.

The owners of “Nantes”, who were relegated to Ligue 2 last season, are reportedly considering selling the club. There are currently three potential buyers interested in the team. One of the offers is reportedly worth €100 million.

The publication notes that Beckham’s name has “returned to the discussions”. His representative previously met with members of “Collectif nantais”, a local group of potential investors, and expressed interest in a possible project involving “Nantes”.

Beckham already has successful experience investing in football. His wealth is estimated at €1.36 billion. Thanks to investments in “Inter Miami”, the club has become one of the most high-profile projects in MLS.

The former English footballer could now have the opportunity to expand his football business to France as well.
