Green light for Álvarez’s return to Atlético: Simeone reveals his stance

Atlético Madrid head coach Diego Simeone has spoken about the future of his relationship with forward Julián Álvarez, TodayPress TV reports.

The Argentine forward is reportedly interested in joining Barcelona and has missed the team’s training sessions as a result. Atlético have made it clear that they do not intend to sell the Argentine to their direct rivals.

Simeone said he is ready to repair his relationship with Álvarez if the forward returns to the team:

“When Julián Álvarez returns to the team, we will do everything necessary to make him feel like an important player. Can Julián fix the situation that has arisen? As long as we have our health in life, everything can be changed.”
