Georgia reaches agreement with Azerbaijan: Border delimitation to be accelerated
“We have agreed to accelerate the processes of delimitation and demarcation of the border with Azerbaijan.”
According to TodayPress TV, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze made the statement while speaking to journalists.
He said the issue had been discussed both at a meeting of the intergovernmental commission and during a bilateral meeting.
“We expressed our hope that work on this process would move forward very quickly. As you know, our position on this issue remains unchanged. We need to see progress. This is the request and appeal we have made to Azerbaijan, and we received a very sincere response. Together with our Azerbaijani friends, we aim to make progress in areas where no progress has been achieved so far,” he added.
