Israel releases Palestinian journalist

Palestinian journalist Farah Abu Ayyash, a West Bank correspondent for the Iranian Tasnim News Agency, which is affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has been released after spending 450 days in detention.

TodayPress TV reports that the agency announced the release.

According to the report, a military court acquitted Abu Ayyash of all charges, citing insufficient evidence.

The report said that hearings in her case had been postponed repeatedly and that the journalist had been held at Israel’s Damon Prison throughout that period.

Abu Ayyash was detained on August 6, 2025, during a nighttime raid by Israeli forces on her home in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.
