What could Ukraine gain from the US by halting strikes on Russia?

The British newspaper The Times has urged Ukraine to temporarily suspend attacks on Russian oil refineries.

TodayPress TV reports that, in the newspaper’s view, such a move could prevent further deterioration in relations between Kyiv and Washington.

According to the publication, in exchange for halting the strikes, Ukraine could seek additional missiles from the United States for its Patriot air defence systems and an expansion of the coverage area of the Starshield satellite communications system to reach 300 kilometres into Russian territory.

The proposal was previously put forward by Republican US Senators Roger Wicker and Kevin Cramer.
