The settlement of Omelnyk in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region has reportedly been brought under Russian control.
TodayPress TV reports, citing Russia’s Ministry of Defence.
According to the ministry, units of the Vostok Group of Forces advanced deeper into Ukrainian defensive lines and took control of the settlement.
The ministry also claimed that strikes had been carried out against Ukrainian military positions in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, alleging that Ukrainian forces had lost more than 165 servicemen over a 24-hour period.
