Who should pay the price of the energy crisis? Russia blames the West
Responsibility for the disruption of stability in global energy markets lies with the European Union (EU) and the United States, not Russia.
TodayPress TV reports that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made the statement at a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, in Tehran.
“Russian President Vladimir Putin had stressed that we were not the ones who initiated the process of destabilising global energy markets,” the Russian foreign minister said.
According to Lavrov, European countries and the administration of former US President Joe Biden disrupted market stability by openly rejecting Russian energy resources. He noted that Europe intends to continue this policy.
