Pakistan closes key trade routes with Iran
Pakistan’s authorities have closed major land border crossings with Iran as part of security measures and efforts to combat smuggling.
TodayPress TV reports that, under the decision, freight traffic through the Taftan and Gabd–Rimdan border crossings has been suspended.
As a result, hundreds of trucks have been stranded at the border.
The restrictions have temporarily disrupted trade and transit links between the two countries.
