Opportunities under the shadow of sanctions… – Is Russia ready to cooperate with the US?

There are still individual “specific” opportunities for economic cooperation between Moscow and Washington.

TodayPress TV reports that this was stated by Alexander Gusarov, director of the North Atlantic Department at Russia’s Foreign Ministry, in an interview with Interfax.

“We remain pragmatically open to implementing joint initiatives with the Americans. This applies only to cases where doing so is necessary and beneficial for us”,- he stressed.

According to Gusarov, despite various restrictive measures imposed by the United States, there are still individual, “specific” opportunities to coordinate bilateral efforts in the economic sphere under such circumstances.

“We have never politicised this issue”,- the Russian Foreign Ministry department director added.
