Rubio backs Trump: “He was elected to make tough decisions”
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has defended President Donald Trump’s stance on Iran, saying that instead of leaving the issue to future administrations, Trump chose to confront it directly.
TodayPress TV reports, citing “Clash Report’s” “X” account, that Rubio stressed Trump was elected to make difficult decisions.
“Like many presidents before him, it would have been easier to turn a blind eye to the issue of Iran and leave it to the next administration. But Trump did not do that. He confronted the issue. Because Iran’s goal is not only to destroy our country, but also to destroy our way of life and threaten our children”,- Rubio said.
The Secretary of State added that it was impossible to live in a world where the most radical regime possessed weapons of mass destruction.
