China-US tensions escalate: Beijing raises the flag of protest
China’s Ministry of Commerce has stated that US sanctions imposed on Chinese companies under the pretext of their cooperation with Cuba are harming the stability of trade and economic relations between the two countries.
TodayPress TV reports that this was stated in a ministry statement.
It noted that the United States has recently intensified sanctions pressure on China and successively introduced a series of discriminatory restrictive measures.
According to the statement, these actions seriously harm the rights and interests of Chinese companies, contradict important agreements reached between the leaders of the two countries, and undermine the stability of China-US trade and economic relations.
China’s Ministry of Commerce stressed its strong opposition to the unilateral sanctions imposed by the United States on Chinese companies under the pretext of their ties with third parties. It added that such measures violate international law and the fundamental principles of international relations.
