Azerbaijani siblings win silver medal at World Championships

The Azerbaijani national team has secured another medal at the World Championships in trampoline gymnastics and tumbling, held in Nanjing, China.

TodayPress TV reports that Seljan Mahsudova and Maqsud Mahsudov, representing Azerbaijan in the mixed synchronised trampoline event, delivered a successful performance in the final.

The sibling duo scored 52.010 points to claim the silver medal at the World Championships. With this result, Seljan Mahsudova and Maqsud Mahsudov became the first Azerbaijani gymnasts to win a World Championship silver medal in the mixed synchronised event.

In the closely contested final, athletes from Belarus took first place, while gymnasts from Japan secured the bronze medal.

It should be noted that Azerbaijani gymnasts continue to compete in other events at the World Championships.
