Nuclear alert in Iran: Iodine distributed to the population
The distribution of iodine tablets has begun among the population in Iran amid concerns over a potential nuclear strike.
TodayPress TV reports, citing “The Times”, that a representative of Iran’s Ministry of Health said the tablets were being provided to residents living near nuclear facilities as a precautionary measure against radiation exposure.
Meanwhile, an instructional video explaining survival procedures in the event of a radiological emergency is also being circulated in the country.
The concerns are linked to the possibility that the United States could strike the underground “Pickaxe Mountain” complex located near Natanz.
