Trilateral technical groups involving Azerbaijan, the United States and Armenia have begun operations to implement the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project.

TodayPress TV reports that this was stated in a joint statement issued by the governments of the three countries on november 6.

The meeting marking the launch of the working groups was attended by Brendan Hanrahan, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov, and Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan.

The statement notes that the new format brings together government representatives and technical experts from the three countries to work jointly on developing regional transport connectivity, strengthening long-term stability and expanding economic cooperation.

The parties agreed to establish the first two trilateral working groups, which will address issues related to transport and electricity transmission.

It is emphasised that the work of these groups will help resolve complex technical issues and advance to the next stages of TRIPP’s implementation, including its integration with other regional infrastructure.

Participants also reaffirmed their commitment to bringing all components of the project into practical operation as soon as possible.
