Zelensky and Putin could meet
US President Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, is expected to propose direct talks involving Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to Moscow.
TodayPress TV reports, citing Politico, that the initiative would mark another attempt to secure a ceasefire.
Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre said Witkoff would also discuss proposals prepared by European and US counterparts during his meeting with Russian officials.
According to Støre, the meeting could pave the way for negotiations at the leaders’ level.
