Trump’s decision raises concerns in Israel: How will it acquire new fighter jets?
US President Donald Trump’s statement about ending financial aid to Israel has caused serious concern among the country’s security institutions.
TodayPress TV reports that Israel’s Channel 12 has reported on the issue.
According to the report, Israeli officials are seeking clarification on whether the United States will immediately halt its financial support or gradually change the framework of security cooperation between the two countries.
Sources familiar with the details of the talks with Washington said questions have emerged within the Israeli Air Force about the possible consequences of the decision.
“Where will the 15 billion shekels ($4 billion) a year come from? What will this mean for Israel’s future defence budget? How will the Air Force acquire new fighter jets?” -the sources said.
