Timeline for Russia-Ukraine peace revealed
Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda has warned that Russia will not begin serious peace negotiations with Ukraine until at least spring 2027.
TodayPress TV reports that, according to Nausėda, the Russian leadership is currently not interested in starting negotiations, and Moscow may not take any serious steps in this direction before spring 2027.
He said Russia would continue putting pressure on Ukraine throughout the winter while trying to create the impression that it was engaging in negotiations by putting forward terms that Kyiv could not accept.
It should be noted that working-level Russia-Ukraine talks, planned to be held in Abu Dhabi under US mediation, are scheduled for November 10–11. No official announcement has been made regarding the cancellation of the meeting.
Meanwhile, Polish and Lithuanian troops are preparing for the “Dynamic Front 2026” military exercises.
