Tbilisi supports peace: “We welcome Azerbaijan and Armenia’s progress”

The South Caucasus is experiencing a period of significant change, with growing attention being paid to the region’s economic and strategic potential.

TodayPress TV reports that Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said this while addressing the “Summit on Multilateral Partnerships” held as part of the high-level week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

“Today, there are broader opportunities for practical regional cooperation. We welcome the progress made in the peace process between our neighbors, Azerbaijan and Armenia, and believe that strengthening regional cooperation can create new opportunities in areas such as trade, connectivity and economic development,” the prime minister said.

Kobakhidze noted that Georgia remains committed to the principles necessary to ensure long-term peace and prosperity.
