A secret bunker has reportedly been prepared for French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris in case protesters attempt to storm the presidential residence.

TodayPress TV reports that the information was published by The Telegraph, citing a book by French investigative journalists.

According to the report, preparations for Macron’s bunker began in 2018, during the Yellow Vests protests. At the time, the president was confronted by protesters during a visit to the city of Le Puy-en-Velay. One of the book’s authors said the incident caused serious concern within the government.

According to the source, French officials are also preparing for possible unrest following the 2027 presidential election. The journalists claim that a victory by Marine Le Pen could trigger street protests by radical left-wing groups, young people from suburban areas and rural activists.

In addition, Paris police officers have undergone training to operate without encrypted smartphones in the event of a large-scale cyberattack. France’s foreign intelligence service has also simulated a scenario involving possible election interference.
