Bomb scare sweeping across Europe – Paris Prosecutor’s Office takes immediate action
The Paris Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into reports of bomb threats targeting aircraft flying in French airspace.
TodayPress TV reports that the information was published by “BFMTV”.
According to the report, the investigation is also examining possible links between the authors of the threats and foreign states.
The office of French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu said an investigation was under way to identify the source of the threats, which have affected countries across Europe.
It should be recalled that an “Aer Lingus” aircraft was previously diverted to Évreux after a bomb threat was reported.
Similar reports were subsequently received concerning four other aircraft flying in French airspace. Security checks were carried out on board those planes by bomb disposal experts.
