Ilham Aliyev to Erdogan: “Your moral and political support has boosted our morale”

“Your moral and political support has boosted our morale”.

TodayPress TV reports that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks during a joint press conference with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Shusha.

“During the 44 days, the Azerbaijani Army liberated more than 300 cities and villages on the battlefield. 3,000 servicemen were martyred in the fighting. May Allah rest the souls of all our martyrs. Their blood was not shed in vain. Their sacrifice was avenged on the battlefield. Historical justice was restored.

The President noted that the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan is currently underway.

I hope this process will lead to concrete results. As you know, Armenia and Azerbaijan have initialled a peace agreement more than a year ago. However, the final signatures have not yet been put on it. There are certain reasons for this”,-  Ilham Aliyev said.
