Disapproval hits record high of over 80%… – Why is Merz’s approval rating collapsing?
Dissatisfaction among German residents with the federal government and Chancellor Friedrich Merz personally has reached a record high, exceeding 80%.
TodayPress TV reports that this was revealed by the results of a public opinion poll conducted by the INSA sociological institute for the Bild am Sonntag newspaper.
According to the survey, 82% of respondents are dissatisfied with the German chancellor’s performance. This figure is up by 2 percentage points compared with early October this year. Only 13% of participants gave Merz’s performance a positive assessment.
Sociologists attribute these results to a decline in living standards. According to the survey, 60% of Germans said their personal financial situation had worsened during the current government’s time in office.
