As Turkey approaches possible parliamentary elections, the ratings of political parties offer an insight into the country’s political landscape.

According to PolitPro’s election trend data as of October 14, 2026, the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) ranks first with 32.5%, TodayPress TV reports.

The figures for opposition parties present a varied picture.

According to the platform’s averages, calculated by combining data from different polling organisations, the Yeni Parti follows the AKP with 23.6%. The Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) has a rating of 9.7%, the İYİ Party stands at 7.1%, and the Republican People’s Party (CHP) at 7%. The Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) has a rating of 6.7%.

How have opposition parties’ ratings changed?

PolitPro’s data show different trends among individual parties. According to the platform’s three-month comparison, Yeni Parti’s rating has increased by 23.6 percentage points. Over the same period, the CHP’s rating has fallen by 22.3 percentage points. The DEM Party’s rating has declined by 0.9 percentage points, while the MHP has recorded a decrease of 0.8 percentage points.

Parliamentary representation

Alongside party ratings, their prospects for representation in parliament are also attracting attention. Turkey applies a nationwide electoral threshold of 7% for parliamentary elections.

According to the projections, the AKP would win 245 seats, Yeni Parti 178, the DEM Party 72, the MHP 56, the İYİ Party 53 and the CHP 52 seats.

These figures represent projected seat allocations, not actual election results.

What does the pre-election picture show?

The current figures indicate that political competition in Turkey is not limited to the ruling party’s rating; changes within the opposition camp are also an important part of the electoral landscape. The sharply contrasting figures for Yeni Parti and the CHP are particularly notable.
