Is Real Madrid’s honeymoon over? Mourinho delivers a brilliant response!

Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho attracted attention with his exchange with a Polish journalist during a press conference ahead of the club’s match against Italy’s Roma in the second round of the UEFA Champions League league phase.

Madrid Zone reported the exchange on the social media platform X, TodayPress TV reports.

Journalist: “I’m in Poland, far away from Spain, but from what I’ve heard, Real Madrid are in a very difficult situation right now. Everything seems very complicated.”

José Mourinho (laughing): “You’re in Poland, which is far away, so the information reaches you in a distorted form.”

Journalist: “There’s a feeling that you’re now in survival mode at Real Madrid. The honeymoon is over.”

José Mourinho: “The honeymoon?”

Journalist: “I mean, the honeymoon…”

José Mourinho: “I know what the expression ‘honeymoon’ means, but what exactly do you mean by it?”

Journalist: “Everyone now expects nothing but victories from you.”

José Mourinho (laughing): “So that’s what the honeymoon is?”

Journalist: “And what’s your perspective on the situation?”

José Mourinho: “What do you mean by that?”

Journalist: “All right, let me put it more simply: how are you feeling ahead of the match?”

José Mourinho: “As always, excellent. I sleep like an angel.”
