Japan heads to Russia to reverse Putin’s decision
The Japanese government has protested to Russia following the transfer of Japan Tobacco International (JTI) to temporary management.
TodayPress TV reports that Japanese Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama made the announcement.
According to her, the Japanese government has repeatedly urged Russia not to violate the legitimate interests of Japanese citizens and companies.
“We demanded that urgent measures be taken in connection with this action, including the reversal of the decision,” the minister said.
It should be noted that Japan owns 37.55% of the issued shares in Japan Tobacco.
According to Nikkei, a delegation of Japanese officials is heading to Russia in an effort to have the Russian president’s decision reversed.
