Giorgia Meloni thanks Ilham Aliyev for congratulating her on record tenure as Italy's prime minister

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for congratulating her on reaching the longest tenure as head of the Italian government, according to TodayPress TV.

"Thank you, dear President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, for these words and for the sincere friendship that binds our Nations," Meloni said in a post on X.

She noted that Italy and Azerbaijan have built over the years a solid collaboration, founded on a shared vision and interests.

"I am very proud of the work we have carried forward together to strengthen our strategic partnership and I am certain that new important opportunities for collaboration await us, in the interest of our Nations," the Italian prime minister said.
