We must be ready for innovations brought by artificial intelligence, Abzetdin Adamov says
“For 20 years, this conference has brought together professors, scientists, industry representatives and government officials.”
Abzetdin Adamov, Dean of the School of Information Technologies and Engineering at ADA University and one of the organisers of the 20th IEEE International Conference on Application of Information and Communication Technologies (AICT 2026), made the remarks to journalists in Baku, TodayPress TV reports.
He spoke about the conference’s significance, international partnerships and current challenges in the technology sector.
According to him, the main purpose of the event is to discuss problems arising from the latest developments in information and communication technologies and explore ways to address them.
“Today, we are attending the opening of the 20th International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies. Once again, we have many participants and guests, and the event has 12 organisers. Representatives from Italy, the United States, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Georgia and several other countries are here to represent their universities. Very important issues will be discussed during the conference.
“Today, technological development and artificial intelligence present numerous challenges that require timely responses and solutions. Conferences of this kind are exceptionally important because they bring stakeholders together to discuss problems and identify the necessary solutions.
“Another important aspect of the conference is that, for 20 years, it has been supported by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a renowned international organisation based in the United States.
“With more than 500,000 members, the institute establishes key standards recognised around the world. It also operates in Azerbaijan, and our conference is among the events it supports.
“We are very pleased to host this conference at ADA University today. We hope the event will make a significant contribution both to Azerbaijan’s development in this field and to the advancement of universities.”
