Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General’s Office represented at international event

On October 8–9 this year, a delegation from the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan, led by First Deputy Prosecutor General Elchin Mammadov and comprising Aynur Osmanova, Head of the Department for Legal Support and Human Rights Issues, and Tugay Rahimli, Assistant to the Prosecutor General for Special Assignments, participated in the International Justice Summit Istanbul 2026, held in Istanbul, Türkiye, and organised by the Turkish Ministry of Justice.

The Prosecutor General’s Office told TodayPress TV that the summit brought together justice ministers, prosecutors, judges, legal experts and representatives of international organisations from more than 30 countries. Discussions focused on the challenges facing the administration of justice in the modern era, upholding the rule of law, protecting human rights and strengthening international legal cooperation.

Panel discussions held as part of the event featured an exchange of views on the application of international humanitarian law, combating cybercrime, the impact of artificial intelligence on legal systems, the digitalisation of the administration of justice and other pressing issues.
