The Istanbul office of Turkey’s opposition broadcaster Halk TV has been searched by officers from the Financial Crimes Investigation Department, and a trustee has been appointed to the channel.
During a debate in the Turkish parliament on a draft law concerning the investigation of funds, deputies from the New Party staged a protest, TodayPress TV reports. The lawmakers taped their eyes and mouths shut with black tape in protest.
