Visit postponed: Russians do not want them to travel to Kyiv

The planned visit of US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner to Kyiv has been thrown into doubt.

TodayPress TV reports, citing Axar.az, that the Kyiv Independent newspaper published the information.

According to the report, plans for the US president’s special representatives to visit the Ukrainian capital on September 5-6 could change.

“Alternative plans are currently being discussed. The Russians do not want them to come here, to Kyiv, and Witkoff has always been sensitive to Russian sentiments.”

It was previously reported that US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner would travel to Kyiv and Moscow.
