Qatar turns against Iran: “The Strait of Hormuz is not a bargaining tool!”

Qatar has condemned Iran’s attack on a Saudi tanker and rejected the use of the Strait of Hormuz as a “bargaining tool.”

TodayPress TV reports that Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement to this effect.

The statement said Qatar once again firmly rejects the use of the Strait of Hormuz as a bargaining tool and, in this regard, called for the strait to be reopened without conditions.

The statement also stressed the need to halt Iran’s “unjustified attacks on the property of brotherly countries” and expressed full solidarity with Saudi Arabia.

It should be noted that two people were killed in an attack on a tanker transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
