Putin offers condolences to China and Nepal
Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed condolences to Chinese President Xi Jinping over the severe landslides in China’s Tibet Autonomous Region, TodayPress TV reports.
Putin wished strength to those who lost loved ones in the tragedy and a speedy recovery to those injured.
The Russian president also expressed condolences to the Nepalese authorities over the floods that caused casualties in the country. The natural disasters in the border region of China and Nepal have caused extensive destruction.
Meanwhile, the Russian Embassy in China announced that two Russian citizens were missing in Gyirong County of the Tibet Autonomous Region.
Search and rescue operations in connection with the incident are continuing.
