Netanyahu sets a “condition” for Hamas: Israel will not leave until the guns fall silent!
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that the Israeli military does not intend to withdraw its forces from positions it currently holds in the Gaza Strip until the objectives of disarming Hamas and demilitarizing the enclave are achieved.
TodayPress TV reports that he made the remarks during a visit to Israel Defense Forces positions in the Gaza Strip, in the area known as the “Yellow Line.”
According to Netanyahu, Israel controls approximately 60 percent of the enclave and intends to maintain that control:
“We have no intention of withdrawing. We are staying on this line. We control 60 percent of the Strip. There is still a lot of work ahead, because every day we are eliminating terrorists who threaten us.”
Netanyahu also spoke about the strike carried out against a senior Hamas commander on August 31.
