Lavrov says Armenia may soon abandon its bid to join the EU
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said that Armenia may soon abandon its intention to join the European Union (EU).
TodayPress TV reports, citing Russian media, that Lavrov made the remarks while speaking at the Eastern Economic Forum.
He noted that the European Union is losing its economic advantages due to short-sighted decisions.
“Our Serbian friends, and our Armenian colleagues here right now, still say that they want to join the European Union. I am sure they will lose this enthusiasm very soon,” Lavrov said.
