Is Iran preparing a military response to the US? – “If you prevent our oil exports…”

Iran considers the US naval blockade an “act of military aggression” and says it will respond symmetrically.

TodayPress TV reports that Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said this in a video address to Iranians.

“If they tighten the blockade, we will definitely respond militarily, and as a result, everyone will lose. If the adversary decides to prevent us from exporting oil from the Persian Gulf, no one will be able to export oil,” Ghalibaf said.

According to him, the US is currently focusing more on the psychological aspect of its economic war against Iran, as a significant portion of the newly announced sanctions had already been imposed before.

It was previously reported that US President Donald Trump had announced the launch of an “economic war and the isolation of Iran.”
