“Doomsday radio station” wakes up again: The signal alarming the world…

Russia’s UVB-76, known as the “Doomsday radio station,” has resumed broadcasting after a two-week break.

TodayPress TV reports, citing the Telegram channel “UVB-76 logs,” which monitors the station’s activity.

According to the report, at 19:31 Baku time, the word “dampolyad” was heard on the station’s broadcast.

Previously, the station went on air on September 7. At that time, two messages containing the words “geroizm” and “blagovest” were transmitted.

On August 27, the “Doomsday radio station” broadcast numerous new messages after a three-day break. The first message was transmitted at 06:56 Moscow time and contained the word “podgolosok.”

Subsequent coded messages included words such as “kumotom,” “lyuftozil,” “izoferment,” “zaloçex,” “preqreşeniye,” “kuroçka,” “rekord,” “Dnestr,” “vıemoval,” “duşequb,” “vvozorul,” “buntolyot,” “maxokran,” “stıkodust,” “svyatoçvet,” “skipokrat” and “ofisiantka.”

It should be noted that the UVB-76 radio station has been operating since the 1970s. As its broadcasts typically feature a continuous buzzing-like signal, it is commonly known as “The Buzzer” (“Zhuzhalka”). The station is also known as the “Doomsday radio station.”

According to some reports, UVB-76 may be part of a system allegedly created in the Soviet Union during the height of the Cold War and still used by Russia today. However, there is no official information regarding the station’s exact purpose or operation.

It should also be noted that the “Doomsday radio station” previously broadcast its 16th message in a single day.
