Ukrainian Ambassador Summoned to Turkish Foreign Ministry

Ukraine’s Ambassador to Ankara, Nariman Dzhelal, has been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs over the attack on a Turkish vessel and another tugboat in the Black Sea.

TodayPress TV reports, citing TRT Haber, that the Ukrainian ambassador was summoned in connection with the incidents.

It was noted that on August 26, a vessel owned by a Turkish company was hit off the coast of Tuapse in the Black Sea. On August 27, another vessel sent to assist it was also targeted.

“During the meeting, Türkiye’s protest over the aforementioned attacks was conveyed to the Ukrainian side, and the necessary warnings were issued regarding the need to ensure the safety of life and property, as well as maritime and environmental security in the Black Sea,” a source at the Turkish Foreign Ministry said.
