Trump made the demand, European Commission responds: Money dispute begins
The European Commission (EC) has not yet received an official request from the United States to reimburse funds spent by the administration of former President Joe Biden on Ukraine.
TodayPress TV reports that EC spokesperson Christian Wigand made the statement at a briefing in Brussels.
Asked to comment on U.S. President Donald Trump’s remarks on the issue, he said:
“We have not received such a request.”
It should be noted that on September 3, Trump said the United States would ask European countries to reimburse the money spent on previous military assistance to Ukraine.
