Paris police to use drones to disperse protesters for the first time
Paris police will use unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for the first time to disperse demonstrators after a protest has ended.
TodayPress TV reports that the information was published by the newspaper “Le Parisien”.
Police believe that aerial announcements will be more effective than standard loudspeakers mounted on vehicles or positioned on the ground in persuading crowds to leave the protest area after a march concludes.
The new drones are expected to be deployed along the demonstration route, which begins at Place de la République and ends at Place de la Nation.
