Armenia has frozen its membership in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and sees no possibility of resuming its participation in the organisation’s activities.

TodayPress TV reports, citing News-Armenia, that Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan made the remarks while speaking to journalists in parliament on November 5.

“We froze our activities within the organisation a long time ago, but we are not obstructing its work. At the same time, we see no prospect of returning to activities within the CSTO,” Mirzoyan said.

He also recalled that the CSTO Charter contains no mechanism for suspending a member state from the organisation’s activities.
