Bomb threat alerts raise alarm across Europe – What is happening?
At least three flights in Spain were affected by false bomb threat reports during the day.
TodayPress TV reports that the “EFE” news agency provided the information.
According to the agency, Madrid International Airport received a threat message in the morning. Among the airlines affected were Iberia and Air Europa.
It should be noted that 13 passenger aircraft operated by European airlines made emergency landings following reports of bomb threats on board. Fighter jets were also scrambled in Bulgaria and Italy to intercept and escort aircraft.
