Lake Ontario to become “Lake America”? Trump’s latest surprise for Canada

US President Donald Trump has said that the possibility of renaming Lake Ontario as “Lake America” is being seriously considered, TodayPress TV reports.

Trump made the statement in a post on his Truth Social platform.

“The United States is giving serious consideration to changing the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America in that we don’t expect to doing much business with Ontario any longer,” Trump wrote.

It should be noted that Lake Ontario is one of the Great Lakes located on the US-Canada border. The northern part of the lake is in the Canadian province of Ontario, while the southern part is in the US state of New York.
