Albania reports 34 wildfires in 24 hours

Albania has recorded 34 wildfires over the past 24 hours, TodayPress TV reported, citing the country's Ministry of Defense.

Five of the fires remain active, while two have been brought under control.

According to official reports, 481 emergency personnel and 44 firefighting vehicles are currently involved in the operations.

To reinforce local efforts, the Armed Forces have deployed 105 military personnel, two specialized firefighting vehicles, three helicopters, and one Air Tractor aircraft.

Active wildfires persist mainly in the Tirana and Dibër regions.

Efforts are currently underway to extinguish three reignited hotspots on Mount Dajti, where 25 firefighters and 20 military personnel have been deployed.
