Erbakan’s son among those banned from entering Azerbaijan
Fatih Erbakan, chairman of Türkiye’s New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi), has been declared persona non grata by Azerbaijan.
TodayPress TV reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the decision.
According to the ministry, Erbakan has been banned from entering Azerbaijan because of statements made on various social media networks and internet platforms that were directed against the sovereignty, national security, constitutional order, people and leadership of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as statements aimed at the forcible overthrow of the government and the incitement of religious violence, hatred and hostility on religious grounds.
It should be noted that Fatih Erbakan is the son of Necmettin Erbakan, a former prime minister of Türkiye.
