New transport map across the Caspian: Ilham Aliyev makes key remarks

Transport is one of the key areas of cooperation between Central Asia and Azerbaijan.

TodayPress TV reports that President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks at the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries.

The head of state noted: “The Caspian Sea is playing an increasingly important role in transport connectivity between our countries. Transport infrastructure on both shores of the Caspian is crucial for connecting Central Asia with Azerbaijan and, subsequently, with international markets.”

The president also said: “Our common goal is to make these routes more efficient and competitive.”
