Ukraine tests system capable of destroying Oreshnik in space

Ukraine has tested new defence systems designed to intercept ballistic missiles outside the Earth’s atmosphere.

TodayPress TV reports, citing “The Guardian”, that Ukraine has conducted three tests of exo-atmospheric interception systems. One of the main targets of the technology under development is Russia’s Oreshnik ballistic missile.

According to the report, Kyiv plans to organise mass production of these systems in the future. However, the high demands of the front line and a lack of funding are creating obstacles to the project’s implementation.

It should be noted that exo-atmospheric interception systems are designed to neutralise ballistic missiles beyond the boundaries of Earth’s atmosphere.
