Bomb hits school during classes – Horrific moments in Sumy

Four guided aerial bombs (KABs) were dropped on the Ukrainian city of Sumy, with one of the strikes hitting a school building.

TodayPress TV reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, shared the information on their Telegram channels.

Zelenskyy said that all services are currently working at the site of the Russian airstrike in Sumy.

“Four KABs hit the city centre, directly striking a school building where classes were underway. I thank the teachers and school administration. The children and teachers were in a shelter, and a total of 100 people were evacuated in time,” he said.

According to the president, residential areas were also damaged. Two people are known to have been killed. Six people were injured, including three children.

Hryhorov added that the Sumy residents who were killed had been inside their homes in a residential area.
